Muckross Creamery is based in Muckross, just outside Killarney, on a family-run dairy farm.
Our ice cream is made using milk from our own cows and produced on the farm using traditional dairy methods and carefully chosen ingredients. Every stage of the process — from pasteurising to churning and flavouring — is handled by us, ensuring consistency, traceability, and exceptional flavour.
Meet John and see what life is like to live and work as a dairy farmer in Ireland. Meet the friendly cows whose milk and cream is used to create award-winning ice cream while gaining valuable insights on farming life.
The wide range of handmade ice cream flavours from Muckross Creamery are produced from only the finest of Irish ingredients, directly sourced from the family farm. The award-winning range is produced to the highest of standards, ensuring only a premium product is delivered to all retailers and the hospitality industry.
Alongside our ice cream, we also produce a traditional Icelandic-style Skyr yoghurt, made here on the farm using the same high-quality milk and a careful, hands-on approach.
Set against the landscape of Killarney’s mountains and lakes, our farm setting shapes both how we work and what we produce: simple, honest dairy products made with respect for ingredients, place, and tradition.
A little hidden gem! A charming setting and truly delicious ice cream. Definitely returning and spreading the word…
I saw the signs and took a chance and called to this really quaint ice cream parlour. The coffee was lovely and I enjoyed a delicious ice cream in the enclosed courtyard. I’d definitely recommend.
